Facilities

The DCR – CIU provides a full range of state-of-the-art facilities for clinical research teams, incl. fully equipped treatment/ study visit rooms, with the capacity for overnight and prolonged stays, a dedicated monitoring room, facilities for the processing and temperature-controlled retentions of biological samples, storage facilities and much more.

We are situated in the sitem-insel building, neighboring the University Hospital Bern / Inselspital. The prominent location and state-of-the-art facilities indicate the value placed on clinical research and trials by the University and the Inselspital. Locating the CIU within the sitem-insel places us at the heart of innovation and medical advances and gives opportunity for cross fertilization of ideas both formally and informally and rapid translation of new technologies and treatments directly to patients.
